This week, I have started working with my survivalist group! We met up tonight and started the process of creating our radio show!
Are you ready for the reveal? Yes?
Our radio show’s name is “Girls’ Guide for the Apocalypse” and I love the name so much! When we were brainstorming ideas for the name, we wanted to somehow incorporate a pun, but then we all decided on this name! Here’s my logo/banner/promotional design for our radio show!
So what is our radio show going to be about and entail? Well…
We are each going to create and/or collaborate with each other as to create different segments of the radio show. We are using our characters from this class, so we will have my character, Annalise, two midwives, and two survivors! I’m so excited! I will create a segment in which I speak as Annalise, a doctor, and tell people how to survive the apocalypse when it comes to health and nutrition. We may also have special guests call in! The two midwives, A.K.A Taylor and Rachel, will be creating a segment all about advice, from relationship advice to survival advice! Then, the two survivors of our group, A.K.A Emily and Morgan, will become to show’s beauty gurus. They’ll talk all about how to create a mud mask from the dirt on the ground and how to make different make-up products such as foundation from different items they find around in the apocalypse. We will also make sure to add some music pieces into our show!
We will be meeting the week we get back from spring break to record the first episode of this radio show in the vocal booth in the HCC at UMW. Wish us luck with using audio devices such as editing software, microphones, and more!
I will continue to update you all on our progress and creations as we continue to work together! I’m very glad to be apart of the group I am in!
Lastly, make sure to tune into our show on the DS106 Radio! I’ll let you know the date our show will air as soon as I can!
Also, make sure to go check out my other groupmates’ work on their blogs! I’ll have their links down below:
