Goodbye, DS106

Goodbye, DS106

It’s about that time, fellow survivors! We have reached the End of the End.

Can you believe it’s been 16 weeks? I can’t!

These last two weeks, I have completed seven Daily Creates and finally finished my final story, which I worked on with my friend, Taylor! It took us quite a while, but it is finally finished and we are both so proud of it.

Taylor and I decided to work together on this project because we really enjoyed working together for our radio show a few weeks back. We decided we wanted to write a story, because it is something that both of us love to do. I could spend hours and hours writing fictional stories with no storyline whatsoever. However, I definitely do that this time!

We decided to tell the story of our two characters, Dr. Annalise Huddleston and Felicity (Flick). Go check out our story, An Adventure to Remember. We included three elements in our story including writing, design, and photography. We wrote the story together, and then yesterday and today walked around UMW’s campus taking pictures of buildings around campus that gave off an apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic vibe. Our design ideas came to life in the wedding invitation that I created, the blog posts from Flick (Taylor), and the “evidence” board as we called it where we kept track of “what we know” about the apocalypse that we “created.”

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed writing and working with Taylor. I also can’t tell you how proud I am of how this story came together.

Besides our final story, I completed seven Daily Creates. Check them out below!

We have come to the End of the End of the End.

This semester has been one of my favorites, and if I could, I would take this class again. I enjoyed the creative freedom as well learning more about myself. I could write another goodbye blog post all about this semester, but for now, I will say goodbye here. I will always have a scrapbook of memories from this class here on this blog! I’m so proud of everything I’ve done this semester! Please continue to enjoy my past works! Let me know what you think!

“This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.”
