As another assignment for this week, I decided to use CoolLetters.net in order to make a “logo” for my character, Annalise Huddleston! Take a look:
I wanted this “logo” to look professional and inviting, at the same time. I really like how to colors contrast one another. Another fun fact about this is the fact that the font I used for Annalise’s name is called “Coca-Cola” and it really deserves that name because it is the same font you see on a can/bottle of Coke!
The one thing that is different between my calligraphy and Coca-Cola’s logo is the color of the text and background!
Anyways, I just really like how this calligraphy design turned out. I think it looks professional, but also I feel as though it might match Annalise’s personality. It’s twisty and curvy and, somewhat, girly looking. Also, the background almost kind of looks like a blanket or article of clothing you might find or use during the apocalypse, and Annalise ended up writing her name on this cloth to use as an advertisement. (???) I don’t know, I’m rambling. Maybe as I continue to develop this character, I will add in more elements about her that lead to why I chose to develop and write her name like I did above.
What do you guys think? Is it too busy? Is it difficult to read?
Side note: The font was originally something that was very difficult to read, and I almost went with it because of the running joke about how no one can ever read their doctor’s notes because every doctor has the worst handwriting. Maybe I’ll go back and use that font instead!
